Gulfnews using OpenCMS

This morning while looking on the site of gulfnews to check for the latest news I saw an error near the bottom of the page says

"The requested resource "/opencms/export/channels/ gulfnews_com/aboutus/subscribe/rates.jsp "

I did not knew that Gulfnews-dot-com an online version of the daily newspaper located in Dubai is using an open source content management system which is OpenCMS. So I decided to blog it just to give you an information about it.

Basic Redirect using 301 Permanent Redirect.

Need to change a file name?
Hierarchy of your servers directory structure change?

meta http-equiv="refresh"… is highly frowned on by search engines and is commonly used by spammers. As such, THIS SHOULD BE AVOIDED.

A 301 Redirect as it is commonly referred to will allow you to make these changes without compromising your hard earned SEO results.
