BarCamp UAE

There will be a 1st BarCamp UAE which will be held in Dubai Internet City, Building no. 3 (DELL), Thuraya Conference Hall on May 9, 2009.

What is BarCamp?

BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees. In true BarCamp spirit, we solicit the help and active participation of volunteers to share the joy of kick-starting this fantastic initiative in UAE.

BarCamp UAE also a volunteer organized, not-for-profit, open learning event. The organization of such an event requires resources of various kinds, for which BarCamp UAE solicits sponsorship and support from businesses, small or big.

Who will attend in BarCamp UAE?

Attendees must give a demo, a session, or help with one, or otherwise volunteer / contribute in some way to support the event. All presentations are scheduled the day they happen. Prepare in advance, but come early to get a slot on the wall. The people present at the event will select the demos or presentations they want to see.

Presenters are responsible for making sure that notes/slides/audio/video of their presentations are published on the web for the benefit of all and those who can’t be present.

SEO Dubai will also attend and still thinking to contribute willing to contribute in any form. We are looking forward to a meet, connect and learn to other people who will attend to the 1st “BarCamp UAE” 2009.
